1. South Korea successfully produced super large aluminum slabs. Recently, South Korea's aluminum alloy extrusion company AK Company successfully produced super-large aluminum slabs, marking the company's further step toward aviation and military-specific aluminum manufacturing enterprises. AK is located in the aluminum foundry of Sejong Autonomous Region in South Korea. It has recently successfully produced 700x2400x5000mm super large aluminum slabs, which is the first time in Korea to produce aluminum slabs of this size. At present, the Korean aluminum and defense-specific aluminum market is about 3 trillion won, all of which depend on imports. Through the successful domestic production of large aluminum slabs, the company's goal is to become the world's 5th to 6th aluminum foundry in the field of aviation materials. AK has three plants in Sejong District and one factory in Seoul. The foundry is located at the Sejong headquarters; it can not only produce aviation aluminum, but also produce ordinary aluminum alloy products, which are expected to be used in displays, semiconductors, molds, hydrogen storage containers and other fields.
