Russian Alcoa Company Exports Declines 70% In April

1.In an interview with a local television station on the 4th, Brazilian President Temer said that the United States’ announcement of a tariff on imported steel and aluminum has had a serious impact on Brazil. The Brazilian government hopes to resolve this issue through consultations.

2. According to Reuters, the government of Guinea has approved plans to develop a bauxite and aluminum refining project worth US$1.4 billion in the northwestern part of the country.

3. The Russian Railways Corporation's data report shows that Russia’s Rusal Aluminum Corporation was hit by U.S. sanctions last month, and aluminum exports in April fell by 70% from the previous month. Compared with the same period of last year, exports fell by 68% year-on-year.
